Karlštejn Castle is a castle in the Czech Republic. It is a large Gothic castle founded in 1348 by King Charles IV. The castle served as a place for safekeeping the Imperial Regalia as well as the Bohemian Crown Jewels, holy relics, and other royal treasures. On March 14th, 2024, we went on a school trip with students from Spain, because they were here for a week we thought we could show them some old Czech castles and one of many was the Karlštejn castle. Our English tour guide spoke quietly and had poor English proficiency, which I will call 'CzechEnglish', but we understood what she meant to say. Otherwise, the castle was pretty and big.
