Maiac is an urban-type settlement or town in the Grigoriopol District, Transnistria, Moldova, 11 km northeast of Grigoriopol, on the Ukrainian border. According to the unofficial census of 2004, the population of the town was 1,221 inhabitants, of which: 351 Moldovans, 582 Ukrainians and 239 Russians. Wikipedia
